There are no more heroes in my fathers compound
The ones we had are betrayed
When the things they died for are scorned for an oiled morsel
The willing heroes amongst us are been pulled by the ears by their mothers
Reminding them of the fates of the ones gone before them
Now that the bold ones willing to make sacrifices are gone
my fathers walls are crumbling
Strangers with cruel intentions are straggling in
Filthy rodents are scampering and stealing about
Serpents slithers, hiss and strike at our crannies
Mockers no longer task their imagination wondering where to wag their tongues
The many acts of the unbold who leads us are catching up on us
And the stares ! the stares amongst them ?!
The accusing stares pregnant with stories untold does bothers me
The silence is loud. Loud of words unspoken
That hung around us like vampire bats hibernating in cave very still, real and ugly
